I just sent the following to Charter:

FOR THREE days I have been getting TOO MANY "unable to connect" error messages for websites I wish to view. When calling tech support just now, I spoke with Lisa, IN THE PHILIPPINES (!!) and I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS (non) OF THAT CONVERSATION. i am not A NOVICE TO COMPUTERS or TO "CHARTER INTERNET"! Ii WAS AN inaugural subscriber WHEN THE "SERVICE" (not) WAS OFFERED IN MY AREA. I have served on the tech. committee of the chamber of commerce since 1-9-9-5 ! I want my problem addressed RIGHT NOW. I DO NOT want to listen to your CRAPPY CANNED MUSIC or talk to someone OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES who knows less than I do! I think she was VERY surprised when I threw a few words of TAGALOG at her. including "Long Live The Philippines!".
FIX IT!
Namaste,
Kevin M Brown, OWOSSO, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

ZOMG I agree with Kevin! Nothing pisses me off more than to call charter and talk to some non-engrish speaking person. Thank god you don't have the phone service too, otherwise you wouldn't even be able to call them.

Email me the URLs that you have a problem with and I can try them w/Charter and MOG dialup also.

AMEN! I feel the same about AAA auto insurance....having once spent over FORTY-FIVE minutes on-queue WAITING to speak to a LIVE human being about an automobile ACCIDENT....all the while being FORCED to listen to their ENDLESS SPIEL about how flippin' WONDERFUL AAA is, and how I should BUY even MORE of their "product"....... :x HA! NOT LIKELY!!!!

....(Rant over)...Back to the topic....I had similar problems with Charter a year or so ago....eventually switched to Verizon high speed.....So far, it has been faster (and cheaper) than Charter....and virtually trouble free. :D

Doesn't the city have a contract with the Cable Company that must be renewed every so many years so the company can keep operating in the city? When is the contract up again? If the company is not keeping it's end up with things now is that not a breach of contract with the city?
Sounds like it is time to have a petition drive asking the city to change the cable company now.

Isn't speaking Tagalog to a Filipino like speaking Ojibwa to an American??
By the way, Why are you yelling at us??? :sleepy2:

1. Tagalog is the primary dialect and most speak it.

2. Since the emboldened type was a quote/copy of what I sent to Charter, I ASSumed that all would know any YELLING was directed at CHARTER, and NOT my "friends" ;) here on our little forum.

Now there is a good idea.

Maybe a new contract with a new company could even get back to a public channel.......?
