Owosso has been my home for most of my life. Other than a short stay at my beloved MSU and starting my teaching career in Saginaw, I have lived in Owosso. My heart is in this town and I would like it no other way. I want to assure the public that I am trying to do my best to help Owosso flourish into the twenty-first century.
My recent posts related to city budget concerns in no way are to be intended as “Owosso Bashing”. I have nothing but praise for our downtown merchants. They provide a service to our community that you do not get along our “Miracle Mile”. Please continue shopping in our downtown at every opportunity you can. Let’s preserve a disappearing part of Americana.

Reading your letter in the Argus and other posts on the recently departed SRCC your comments can in no way be taken as "bashing". You come across as a concerned resident making observations and then asking legitimate questions, of which seems to have you placed on "Ignore" by City Council.
Regarding service and community involvement among merchants in the "Mile", it has been my experience that Meijer's has consistently supported the consistently and Corunna schools as well as community functions such as the annual fireworks display every July. All others (on the Mile) pale in comparison.

I think most people understand that if you didn't love your city then you wouldn't care about the things that are hurting it. Even people who dislike your opinions probably understand that, especially since your efforts helped keep Holman Pool open. I don't think you've ever written anything that would indicate that you have a negative view of your city.
